Food

So, when I first got my hermit crabs I had dishes and always kept them in the same spot. But, I came across someone who said that they vary where they put their food for them so that they stay active. So, I went ahead and tried it and to me I don't know if they were as active or were confused? Is it better to place food scattered around the tank than just in one spot all the time?

I think it's totally up to you where to place the dishes. I do like the idea of moving them around to keep the crabs busy. I usually put them in the same spot tho, but only because I have decorations everywhere else.

It’s more for enrichment than anything since it forces them to look for their food instead of just walking to the buffet table every morning.
Main downside is you need to remember where you put it
