Heat bulbs
I have been using a heat bulb and check the temp and humidity often. It always reads 81 degrees and 84-86% humidity every time. I have my humidifier running all the time and have a false bottom to make sure it won't flood to be safe. I was wondering if it is okay to just keep on using the heat bulbs than just wasting my money on a ultratherm if I don't need it right now. I will get an ultratherm when I upgrade my tank to a 135 gallon tank but I'm just wondering if it's safe for now.

Re: Heat bulbs
Yeah, it’s safe. Some people do report humidity problems with lamps but if you’re not then it’s a non-issue.
So long as the crabs get a normal daylight/night cycle I wouldn’t be concerned.
