HCA: Hermit Crab Association

Ok so I’ve never had a mold on my moss problem before. But recently I have moved my crabs to a new tank, and I got frog moss (which was a new one to me, I used regular water and it got moldy FAST) and then I went back to my original moss I’ve used before, beaked moss. I read online it’s a good idea to use the salt water to avoid mold (put instant ocean salt and primed it) and two days later it’s moldy too! I’ve never had an issue with molding moss, how do I stop this?

I know food molds easily and I’ve accepted that, but the moss I really don’t want to mold because I like to keep it in their tank awhile!

Any advice?
