dilemma-mold and exposed tunnel

Post by hermitsinnc » Fri Feb 03, 2023 12:46 am

So I lifted up the food dish today to find this:
Image
(green circles are mold, red is a hole)

Both Kendall and Mitchelle are up. Maxwell was last seen on 1/26(ish). He had been up for a month before that, so I do expect he's molting.

Is it safe to scoop those few spots of mold up? Should I put something back over his hole?

(all the spots of blue are coconut w/ blue spirulina, nothing weird.)
3 PPs: Maxwell (small), Mitchelle (medium/small), Kendall (medium/large)
also have 10gal freshwater fishtank w/ neon tetras, pygmy cories, and nerite snails

Are those on the surface? If they are you can just scoop them out with the surrounding substrate. It’s unlikely that anyone would be dwelling that close to the surface
