Weird thing in their bowl

I found a strange, foul smelling, weird fleshy looking thing in my boys’ saltwater bowl today. I’d attach the video but idk how. But it genuinely smelled like rotten milk and stunk up my WHOLE apartment

i agree with @curlysister about the food- what do you feed them? it could also be that a hermit has died, and so you just now noticed the thing in the water becase of the stench, but that may not be what is causing it. that happened to me once, but their was a bacterial bloom and i thought it was their food, but nope.

for now, change the water and rinse the bowl or container you use and see if it gets rid of the smell.
