one of my hermit crabs has been very inactive in the tank lately, and i am getting worried.
he is very active outside of the tank when i take him outside to play, and will eat, but just sits in one corner of the tank- along the back wall, legs foreward, so not in nor out of his shell. I have also notices that a green hue is present on some of his body, is that normal?
he just molted a few weeks ago, and changed shells last thursday- nothing else has been changed in the crabitat
thanks
depressed hermit crab?
Re: depressed hermit crab?
Have the rest of your hermit crabs been acting normal?
Is there a possibilty he could be getting bullied?

a while ago she got her shell stolen, but i am not aware of any bullies because the only crab larger than him is buried somewhere under the sand- the rest of my crabs have been acting normal.'
is she sick?
is she sick?
Re: depressed hermit crab?
Did anything happen around her molt?
It might be possible the smaller hermies are bullying her but I'm not sure

Crabs aren't always super active. Happy crabs actually tend to be kind of chill and not as active.
