HCA: Hermit Crab Association

i got this cactus from kroger like a year ago, and its one of those ones with like a red top, and green stem in the shape of a three pointed star, i was wondering if i could cut of a side of the cactus and feed it to my hermit crabs, but i was not sure if it was safe, and if i should take off the thorns

I personally would not offer something with a lot of spines. Hermits are tough but I dunno about hug a cactus tough. The flesh should be okay to offer, though I dunno how much they’ll like it
