Chirping?
Chirping?
So I got a new crab a few days ago (I already have 2 in a 30 gal) He’s been good so far just hangs out on his stick and eats at night. I woke up the other night to all three of them on the stick and my medium crab on top of him with my new one (Sherman) chirping like crazy, the bigger one didn’t seem to be rocking the shell or putting his claws or legs inside but maybe I just didn’t see? They stopped after I got up to see what was going on and were fine the rest of the night. All day and night yesterday was calm they didn’t really interact. Now today I came home from work with Sherman the new smaller guy and my biggest crab Kirby on the stick together fine. The medium crab who was on top of him the other night was just climbing up the stick when Sherman started chirping like crazy again. I’m not sure if they are fighting or don’t get along? I don’t think that Ralph the medium crab would fit into Sherman’s shell so I don’t think he’s trying to take it but I’m not sure. A few minutes after this happened they were both in the food bowl eating with no bad interaction. Anyways Anything would help! Thanks.

Re: Chirping?
Hard to say.
Do you have plenty of appropriate shells for them to choose from?
When you introduced them, did you give everyone a quick dip in the fresh water?
Are you feeding animal protein and calcium daily?
