Refusing to molt

Hey all again!
As it says, I have .m big guy (crimson!) Who's had 2 successful molts with me over the 7 months I've had him! (He's a jumbo)
But this time he's showing super clear signs of molting, super dusty exo, he's even washed it off sort of a few times taking a bath, and eating lots!
Usually this isn't concerning, but here's the part I'm worried about
Usually his body's one fairly uniform color. Except now I can see a lighter red in the cracks where his joints are, and he's been showing molting symptoms for about a month, and I'm really scared he might try and surface molt even with having the same tank conditions, 9 inches of sub, salt and water dishes, good food, all that
Am I just being paranoid? 🤣
Thank you all so much!!

Jumbo crabs don't usually molt that often - a third molt in 7 months would be unusual. Jumbo crabs also have the hardest time adjusting if taken from the wild (not sure where you got him from).
Not much you can do but wait and see.

Thank you!
I adopted him from someone else who had him for a few years, but unfortunately don't know the conditions or how often he molted!
Another thing I'm worried about is that he was down molting for 3 weeks, but has been up for almost 3 months, and from my other hermit crabs molting, he's not down for very long and is up for too long?
Anyways, thank you!!
