Hi, I have a 26 gallon crabitat, and I have 4 hermit crabs currently.
I also like to re-do the decor every few weeks, and I recently added a pool.
Can I believe it to be safe for them? Will they drown in the water provided? I put smooth stones, and shells in the pool with a large rock for them to climb out on.
I also have an old turtle dock, used as a ramp to get into the pool.

Re: Hermit Crab Pools?
Do you have different sized crabs? As long as they are able to grab onto the ramp and rock, they should be ok.
I haven't put my pool in because the mail hasn't delivered my new air pump yet. But I will be putting some rocks so my little eccie can get out and making it to were he will be comfortable getting in also.
I am still learning so I could be wrong about this. Maybe someone will come along with some input about your pool.

Re: Hermit Crab Pools?
Hello Here is a great tutorial about bubblers - and it has pictures of pools in them: http://hermitcrabassociation.com/phpBB/ ... r#p1030806
There are many different things you can use for them to get out of the pools with: craft mesh, stones (unpolished), aquarium decor, aquarium plants, coral, barnacles, scalloped seashells to make shells.
Hope that helps

Re: Hermit Crab Pools?
Yep, I have all sorts of sized ones.
I just upgraded the pool with a sand bottom, and a ramp to exit.
Planning to redo the tank a bit today, and rearrange things.
I have two PP's, and two Eccies. I'm building a wooden terrarium soon, and will have 30 hermit crabs.
It's a 150 gallon.
