Regarding dechlorinators

My friend who used to own fish gave me a TopFin water conditioner to use for my hermit crabs. They seem safe as the label stated that they got rid of chlorine, chloramine, and ammonia. The problem is, the label states that I use 10 ml of the solution to treat 10 gallons of water, while I only need about half a plastic water bottle to replace the bowls I have for my hermit crabs. Is the only solution just to make the solution in a large batch and store it for future use?

You’re working with 1 mL of dechlorinator to 1 gallon of water.

The average plastic water bottle holds about 16.9 fl oz. Eight bottles equals one gallon.

There are 20 drops in 1 mL of dechlorinator.

Divide both gallons and drops by eight and you’ll get about three drops per water bottle, or two drops per half-bottle.

Hmmm...the 'water' care sheets says that Top Fin water conditioner does not remove ammonia.

The formulas keep changing! It could be newer or older than the list.

Apologies for not being clear enough, but the bottle functions similar to cough drops, with the bottle coming with just a cup with ml markings. Are the drops referring to a regular squeegee or are there specific squeegees that the bottle should have came with? I'm still new to pet care in general, so I'm not as well educated.

The bottle is designed to be used by the capful for large doses of water (most aquarists don’t use it in small amounts like we do). You’ll have to supply your own dropper if you want to be that precise.
