Water dishes.

Post by C: ClareCrabOwner :) » Sun Feb 09, 2025 9:48 am

If I have a larger dish and a smaller dish in my crabitat, should the larger dish be salt water or fresh water? Does it matter?

It’s personal preference, really. Hermit crabs have setal tufts on their claws that allow them to get water so submersion isn’t a must for PPs

Thank you! Is a large dish helpful for raising humidity???

If wider, yes. Increased surface area means increased evaporation

Thanks! I have a really wide dish I'll try in one of my tanks, the one I've had trouble keeping the humidity up in. :)
