Recommended misters/humidifiers?
So, I have/had an automatic ZooMed reptile mister. It was really nice and perfect at keeping my 5-gallon tank humid (before you yell at me, I know 5 gallons is probably too small, but I'm low on desk space). Only thing is that just last week it just stopped working, and I've only had it since late January. I'm going to call the manufacturer, and if I can get a refund, are there any different misters, foggers, or humidifiers that I should look at? My tank is 16" long, 8" wide, and 10" tall, solid glass walls and a metal mesh lid. I feel like the ZooMed products I've bought aren't the best quality, but that's the only hermit crab brand that the PetCo's and PetSmart's near me have.

Yes, a 5 gallon tank is too small for crabs to molt safely, without another crab digging them up. I would be very careful about misting such a small tank, for fear of flooding. What is your current humidity reading? Have you covered the mesh with something non-pourous like plastic wrap, to hold the heat and humidity in?
