Rock salt?Kosher salt?

Rock salt?Kosher salt?

i read somewhere rock salt and kosher salt would work to make crab saltwater. would either of ther work? i dont have access to IO around where i live. please help!!!

just find any aquarium salt, your local pet store should have it just ask

I don't know about this, but it's the anti-caking and preservatives used in table salt that isn't good for the crabs, if your worried about iodine.

No, those types of salt will not work, they are not the same thing. Salt water for marine animals is not the same as those other types, there is more in the water than just salt. Go to your local pet store that sells salt water fish, and ask them for the solution to make up the water for the fish.

she said they don't have a pet store... but your gonna have to go to the next town or wherever you got your crabs from (given it was the pet store) cause that's where you will find it

You can also order the salt online. I have seen the Oceanic Natural Sea Salt Mix at Petsmart.com, and I'm sure it is sold elsewhere online as well. Another brand you can use is called Instant Ocean.
