Changing water

Post by Elsdad » Mon Apr 06, 2015 12:57 pm

Hi. New member here. I've been reading over posts and can't seem to find an answer on how often to change out water in pools. I've been changing every 2 or 3 days when I see substrate or other stuff floating around. Is there a hard fast rule on water changes?

In the water guide thread it's recommended to do it everyday. But it can be stretched to 2-3 days before changes. You can read all about it at the bottom of this thread http://hermitcrabassociation.com/phpBB/ ... 25&t=92553

Personally I change my water every other day (although I've gone 2-3 if sick or something), but if the crabs drag in moss or food or whatever I change it ASAP since decaying organic matter isn't a good thing to leave in there ;)
