Water Dishes/ pools/ evaporation

Post by rkadisak » Thu May 14, 2015 3:30 pm

Hello guys,

For a while now i've had two water pools in my tank. i used two paint trays that i siliconed small rocks onto so they can climb out. My issue is that i have to fill the water at least once a day I don't think the water is leaking out of the paint trays, maybe it's evaporating? If so how can i keep it from disappearing so quickly? Any and all advice helps.

Thanks

First I would double check that they're not leaking. Set them out on dry towels on a table for a bit to check. Or if they are partially buried or the crabs pile substrate against the sides, water may be wicking out this way. I would also check that your substrate isn't too moist.
