Diy waterfall with viewing area

So as promised I am posting my progress with my waterfall project! I forgot to take pictures of the project until after I had foamed it but you can still get the gist of it.
I used some purple insulation foam I got from home depot for $6 (2x2' and 1" thick). I cut the foam down to the sizes I needed with a serrated kitchen knife I don't use any longer. So as I cut out shapes I filed them in place with a quick dry adhesive. Once the skeleton was to a place I liked I added great stuff to seal any open areas and to add definition.

Once the foam dries I will continue to shape it how I want and paint it! More to come!!

Ok, I'm home so time for more photos!

This is the view from the front. A sheet of glass across the front will allow you to see the babies.

This is inside of the fw reservoir, with the gap to allow for water return.

The two falls. I can't wait to see it in motion.

The side that will face the rest of the tat with two ledges and a very small cave near the front.

This is the back

This is where the pump will go.

Wow looks good! I bet the crabs will love it once finished. I know I will.

(Also, loving that beautiful fish tank in the background. What fish to do you keep?)

Thanks! I hope they do! It is a bit more shallow than I wanted. But I think that the climbing areas and the falls that the can crawl around on will make up for it. I haveHarliquin rasboras, pictures cats, and two kuli loaches!

Me too! I did the acrylic sealer tonight. I'm off tomorrow, so I am going to finish the tortoise enclosure and then assemble the hermit falls!

Oh well, I sure they like it anyway, plus you could always get another tank & do it again (then reserve this one for your smaller crabs! ). But I pretty sure it awesomeness will make up for it! :D

Do you mean pictus catfish? :?: I never seen a pictures catfish before...
Sounds like an awesome tank, if possible get some more kuhlis! They do awesome & come out a lot more when there's over 4 of them!
Currently I have 5 striped kuhlis & 1 black one, they out all the time! Now all I need to do is the get the black one species buddies & some more striped ones for more cuteness!
