Penn-Plax Cascade 300 Internal Filter

Post by JediMasterThrash » Wed Mar 04, 2015 10:58 pm

For the longest time, the Duetto 50 was the staple of the hermit crab water pool filter. But it seems to have been discontinued.

When my Duetto 50 died, I had to search for a replacement. And it's very hard to find one that fits in the same small footprint, and still delivers good performance, and three stage filtering.

The only solution I found was the Penn-Plax Cascade 300 Internal Filter. is is almost the exactly same height as the Duetto 50, which easily fits in my existing pools. It is slightly narrower but slightly thicker. It also includes an optional bar that shoots several streams of water, which I find makes a great effect in the pool.

It works great, is quiet, has good water flow, and is easy to clean and maintain. I highly recommend it.
