Chlorinated water issue

My crab needs some water but we do not have any bottled water and the safest tap water we have is some that has been sitting out for maybe 12-14 hours. Is this water safe for my crab? Or do I need to wait for 10-12 hours more? :?:

Unfortunately, you can wait for ages and if your municipality uses chloramines, instead of just chlorine, the water still won't be crab safe. Even boiling for reasonable periods doesn't remove all of it.

Actually, a lot of bottled water contains chlorine too.

Arguably, the best solution is to use tap water with a dechlorinator such as Prime (there are others) that says on the lable that it removes/neutralizes chloramines, ammonia, nitrates, & heavy metals.
