my boyfriend uses a dechlorinator for his shrimp and i was wondering if i could use the same one.
brand name PRIME. white bottle, red label. says "removes chlorine and chloramine. detoxifies ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate. provides slime coat"
is this okay? i'd add a pic but i can't figure out how. lol

I'm a little confused by your description. I've been using Prime for years. It doesn't provide a slime coat. :) I even double checked my label.

I think they changed the bottle recently, but it has always been that it promotes a natural slime coat. Certain dechloring chemicals have different effects.
