Would using carrots which were rinsed in either filtered or dechlorinated water (I forgot) four days ago would be able to be eaten by the crabs?

Thanks! Recently I made a food calendar for my crabs because I felt like they did not get enough variety. Today, they have carrots, cuttlebone, quinoa, freeze dried shrimp, and blueberries from a Flukers color enhancer. Thy were eating it as soon as I put the bowl in the tank.

Yes, any food that you rinse in tap water should be fine if you dry it off.
I wouldn't think anything of it if they were rinsed days ago.

Chlorine isnt a stable compound in water and will quickly dissipate.

How long would it take to dissipate?

Chlorine evaporates in 24 hours. Chloramine will break apart on contact with lower pH foods.
