Salt

Post by Wlfwo » Tue May 07, 2019 5:59 pm

No matter how I mix it, hot, cold, warm, salt first, salt last, dump it in or trickle it in, I ALWAYS get this (refer to picture). I always end up sucking it out with a turkey baster.

That happens to me too. I also have no idea why that happens.

Same here. I have used the hottest water and shook it up for a long time and a couple times. I can't seem to ever get it all to dissolve.

I get it all the time. The only time I didn’t get the residue was after mixing it overnight in a bucket with a powerhead for my kreisel tank.

Think I'll hit it with my stick blender and see if that helps.

I haven’t noticed mine doing that... idk if it just has to do with what type of water you mix with or what- tap vs distilled plus any type of dechlorinator. Maybe I just didn’t pay enough attention... honestly I fill a gallon jug, make a funnel out of a piece of paper and dump it in and shake it til it’s mixed... it’s a good workout.
I need to look a little closer and see if I maybe didn’t get it all the way and thought I have next time!

I use the same brand of salt, maybe I just don't notice the salt left in the bottom

I used to do the same thing but I cut a water bottle in half and use that for a funnel now. I don’t know if my salt does that, I need to pay more attention. I do always shake it up really good before I use it, so I hope that helps.

I usually make the salt water in a water bottle and shake it. I think it helps.
I have had pets in the past, but my family can’t have any furry or feathered ones due to allergies. I usually try my best to help and currently trying to set up a crabitat. I also try to treat others with Love!❤️
