Play sand as pool substrate
Sorry for all the questions here, I'm setting up my new water pools right now. So could play sand possibly be used as the substrate in the pools?

Yes, but you may wish to wash the sand beforehand since the finer particles will float and cloud your water.
That job works better outdoors with a hose so you don’t clog your sink.

When I used sand in an aquarium I did what Joehermits said. And for the final rinse I added prime.
