How much Conditioner to use

Post by bridgettbiologist » Thu May 27, 2021 10:54 am

Hi y'all!

So I've been using distilled water for a long time, but I want to start using Aqueon Tap Water Conditioner. It says to use 5 ml per 10 gallons. Would I just need to add a drop to my crab's water dish? Also, it says it makes tap water safe "instantly", should I trust that?

Dosage would be 0.5 ml per gallon. (By comparison, Prime is 0.1ml per gallon, which is 2 to 4 drops per gallon.) For a very small dish a few drops should be good. If you want to make a more at a time, you can ask for a 1 ml medication syringe from your local pharmacy, they should be willing to give you one!

And yes, it really does work immediately but it needs to be mixed up. Think of how dye gets mixed into water, it needs a little help to get dispersed.
