Bottled water (Nestle Purelife) is it safe???

Post by andreas4dogs » Thu Nov 04, 2010 7:07 pm

I HAVE NOT given this to my crabs yet. I found a caseload of bottled water in the basement (different brand than I am currently using). The ingredients say 'water is purified using reverse osmosis or distilation and enhanced with balance of miners for taste. Contains: purified water, calcium chloride, Sodium Bicarbonate, and magnesium sulfate;. Are any of these ingredients detrimental to the hermies?

THANK YOU!
Wife to Dave, mom to Gabriel, 9 ,and Zachary, 4 1/2. I also have three dogs (a plot hound / lab mix, a sheltie / Australian shepherd mix and a maltese mix). We advocate rescuing and adopting any companion animal. We of course have hermit crabs - a bunch in a 75 gallon.

Yea, magnesium sulfate is at least. Supposely it makes water "taste better" for humans so that's why they add it...I have never understood connoisseurs of water. I used to give my crabbies Dasani before I realized that. You'll always have some naturally occurring minerals before bottling, but I wouldn't give them anything with minerals purposely added.
