Should I cover up a hole?

Post by Cathyann31 » Wed Sep 21, 2016 7:14 pm

My new crab dug a big hole and I'm guessing he's molting. Do I cover the hole so the others don't go in? Do they dig straight down?

This poor crab, my daughter got it from a pet store that barely had any substrate and not a single empty shell. He tried on several new shells the first hour he was home.

Nope. :) The crab will backfill it on it's own.

Thanks! I've recently noticed them doing just that.
