He's going a nice shade of brown now.

One of my others is just pure white. Doesn't matter whether he's just molted or about to molt, he doesn't have a great deal of colour.

I've heard from someone else that a paleness could be due to lack of proper nutrition. (Only if actually a white color). Some crabs are just not as colorful as others.

Actually come to think of it, the one who is "white" is more of a very light brown with darker brown streaks on the legs and claws. The light in the room they're kept in sometimes makes them look white. He's nowhere near as colourful as my others.

All of my crabs are Australian Land Hermits which are very similar to Es.
