Crab molting underwater dish help!!!!!

Crab molting underwater dish help!!!!!

So I was about to clean out my water dishes in the crabitat and opal was molting under my dish I can see remains of her exoskeleton so she's obviously still molting what should I do????.
29 gallon crabitat and 20 gallon long crabitat

Just leave her there. As long as the little cave she has is holding it's shape, I would very carefully replace the water dish back over top. And if you use Rubbermaid type containers for water, double them up after she is done molting and comes back up - then there is no risk of disturbing her if she does it again!

Thanks! I cleaned out the dishes and replace the water as quick as I could so fingers crossed she wasn't harmed. It was really cool to see her exoskeleton I've never seen anything like that before! I tried to disturb her as little as possible so I hope she turns out okay!

Like curly said, doubling up each water dish with another keeps digging/ molting crabs undisturbed. Add a few small stones at the bottom of the first container. The stones will make it easier to pull the top container out. We had issues with them sticking together before adding the stones at the bottom!
