Re: Crab molting underwater dish help!!!!!
Just leave her there. As long as the little cave she has is holding it's shape, I would very carefully replace the water dish back over top. And if you use Rubbermaid type containers for water, double them up after she is done molting and comes back up - then there is no risk of disturbing her if she does it again!

Re: Crab molting underwater dish help!!!!!
Thanks! I cleaned out the dishes and replace the water as quick as I could so fingers crossed she wasn't harmed. It was really cool to see her exoskeleton I've never seen anything like that before! I tried to disturb her as little as possible so I hope she turns out okay!curlysister wrote: ↑Sat Dec 12, 2020 11:54 amJust leave her there. Re: Crab molting underwater dish help!!!!!
Like curly said, doubling up each water dish with another keeps digging/ molting crabs undisturbed. Add a few small stones at the bottom of the first container. The stones will make it easier to pull the top container out. We had issues with them sticking together before adding the stones at the bottom!
