I looked away for one minute and he changed shells, what a jerk. I swear he is trying to spite me or something!

Update! He changed shells and is now burrowed down in a different spot! He is in the back left corner by the heater! The top of his shell is sticking out of the sand, but his body is under the sand. He has been there for about two days now. I have more shells now and he will be offered many different options once he resurfaces! The only current concerns I have are that he is not fully under the sand, and that my smaller crab Bug is sitting on top of his shell. She is now trying to dig him up at all, but still, even if I move her away, she goes right back to him!

She might be trying to attack him. Could you put something around him? For example, a plastic bottle top? (Think soda containers- cut the bottom part off, put the part over him with the lid taken off, for air flow)

I put in in a large Tupperware container with the lid on and some sub and extra shells for a while, it has a heating pad and some food and water so it was humid and warm. He moved out of that spot, and then I put her back it, and watched them closely for a while. That was hours ago, and about 30 minutes ago I cleaned their tank and rearranged it, I kept them in separate container for that time! They were back in the tank together now and they seem to be getting alone. I think she originally wanted his shell, but now that there are more options she seems to be fine. His shell would be way to big for her anyways but you know how it is. They where close to each other a bit ago, and no agression shown. She didn't try to dig at him when he was under, she just sat on the top of his shell, didn't even wrap around him, just sat there. I think she feels crowded and wants to get out tbh, since he was at the back corner of the tank. I wish I could just tell her, "Don't worry baby, you are getting upgraded to a 40 gallon breeder tank within the next few weeks. I was thinking about getting a 3rd crab when that tank got set up, but since they are both potentially showing signs of agression towards each other I'm going to hold off on that for a bit longer.
