[smilie=comfort.gif] I'm so very sorry that you lost him. The regeneration of the eye does depend upon different factors, even though we have no clue what they are as yet. Maybe someday we'll know more about them & their regeneration abilities. :)

Well that stinks, like, "The operation was a success but the patient died." I'm so sorry for your loss. It seems like I always get more attached to the ones that are less-than-perfect, and it's that much sadder when they're lost :(. I'm so sorry... But you know that Fig had a better life with you than he had before :).

I'm sorry about Fig, but he sure brought hope to a lot of us crabby moms with little one-eyed wonders. I am not hopeful that Willy will regrow his deformed eye.

I think most hermit crab will aways regenerate the missing eye(s).
But the new one will be always in smaller size

Lilly
I'm so sorry Fig did not make it.
It was interesting that he had regenerated his eye.
Bless him.

He may not of lived long.
But his life got so much better when he came home with you.
I'm glad he did not have to live out his life stuck in the shop.
