COCONUT MOLTED!!!!!
OMG! I went to check on the tat because my husband said it smelled really badly like vinegar (which it did) and I noticed Midnight (my mean, aggressive PP) digging under the logs. I thought it was weird for him to be out in the open with the lights on so I lifted him up and there were exo pieces everywhere! Coconut was underneath him and he is the most beautiful new lavender baby!
I was afraid Midnight might attack him so I put him in iso with his exo, honey and cuttlebone, and fresh water. I just dug a little impression in the sand and put him in there. Anything else I need to do? Once they have successfully molted, is the danger of it going bad over? I don't want to celebrate prematurely!

He has lost a lot of his color - we adopted him from Petco and he was only with us for about 12 hours before he dug down. Apparently he was not getting a proper diet.
I need some advice on how to proceed from here:
How long do I keep him in isolation?
Do I give him a Stress Coat bath for his new exoskeleton?
Is it safe to pick him up? If not, how will I know when it is safe?
Please help - I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do! Thanks in advance!

You'll know when he's ready to join the rest of the tank.

Until then, don't bother him. Keep it dark and quiet in the iso and leave him be until he's active and healthy looking. Then I would actually give him a salt bath (I steer clear of stress coat at all times) and then introduce him to the tank whenever you're there to supervise.

How long do I keep him in isolation? - he'll let you know...he'll be moving around and looking to get out.
Do I give him a Stress Coat bath for his new exoskeleton? No.
Is it safe to pick him up? If not, how will I know when it is safe? I would just leave him be. Molting takes a lot out of them and they are very weak...added stress will just make him weaker.
Keep it dark and quiet for him. It'll take a week or so for him to gain his strength back enough to start moving around and getting back to normal...maybe longer.
Good luck!
