My lg straw molted two months ago. He was dark red every where when he went down to molt. He came up after 6wks gone and has red on the top and white undersides. He is active and eating. I have been giving him fresh carrots for carotene. Is he OK. My other two straws are still under its only been 4wks for them so far.
I am moving up to a 45g tank and how do I move the ones that are down for a molt? I know my small to tiny PP's are just hiding down there but the Straws are not.
Not gained color back after molt.

I don't have straws because I've heard too much about how delicate they are. So I would advise you to definitely not dig them up. You can switch to your new tank and just leave them alone in the tank they're moulting in.
I would leave some water (both kinds) in the tank along with a bit of food, like cuttlebone and honey. This way you can get your new tank going so they have a big surprise when they come up.
