No Molters .
Hi, I've had crabbies for about 8 months now and I have not had ONE molter . They have 6" play sand, I'm just not sure what to do . A bit worried .

If you keep the conditions right and give them lots of healthy, yummy food. And they will molt when they are ready

Is your play sand moistened? What size crabs? Are you totally sure they haven't molted? Have they spent any time underground?

Re: No Molters .
I spritz it with my spritzer twice daily . What can I do other than that ? Also, I have from roughly 1/2" to 3 1/2" . A few have been underground, for 2 1/2 weeks at most . Never seen an exo or anything . A few of them have been moving from tank to tank every once in a while because I am getting more and more terrariums because I am running out of room and still building my 5'7 by 2'7 crabitat . I know moving them may add difficulty, their new crabitat should be done soon, I just have to get some scratches out .
Re: No Molters .
Did you moisten the substrate in the beginning to sand castle consistency?
There's a chance the smaller ones have already molted if they've been under for 2-3 weeks. Larger crabs will molt less often. Do they have sharp nails at the end of each leg? Do they look hairy? If they've had a normal, healthy molt you won't see exo. They'll eat it before they resurface.
You're correct in thinking that moving them around a lot may have interrupted their molt cycle and added extra stress.

No, I did not know to do that, but I will for the new crabitat ! And I have seen some smaller ones with sharp-ish nails . And yes, I think they will all be staying in the terrarium they are now until the big move . Thank you . I am learning and know that there are some things I am not doing perfectly . But I still love my crabbies . And you guys are all the best help !
