First Molt

Post by TheNewComer » Mon Jul 20, 2015 8:31 pm

Hi, so my first molt Ive ever gone through and it ended up being a surface molt. I moved him into Iso,he has been molting for 2 weeks, and since yesterday he has moved himself to the bowl where I put calcium and protein in for him. Do I leave him in the tank still? If so, how much longer? Or do I move him back to the other tank. I read that recovery takes a week or so, so I am planning on leaving him in there for a week.

Thx for any info. If theres anything im missing let me know as well pls.

Sorry, I some how missed this :P
Wait until he's moving around like normal and he has completely hardened up. Then I suggest dipping him in the main tank's FW dish so he doesn't smell so much like he just molted. He should be fine in the main tank, just keep and eye on him for a few days.
Good luck!
