jumbo molt

My jumbo is digging around so I put him in a molt tank how long does it to the average jumbo to molt

It is not necessary to isolate crabs for a normal molt. Unless they are surface molting or you do not have adequate substrate, they can be left in the main tank.

True jumbos can be down for several months to a year; it just depends on the crab.

Jumbo crabs on average can be under anywhere from 2 to 4 months. Though longer is not unheard of.

Crabs have been known to molt from 2 weeks (smaller) to 9 months. (Huge) they have had reports on that long in a group I am in
