What happened?

So I was quite excited this morning when I got up to discover that one of my molters had returned to the surface! I gave him a quick dip in the fresh water and everything seemed fine. But as I was watching him move around I noticed that one of his back legs looked stumpy. Upon closer inspection it looks like most of the last segment is broken off!! I'm not sure how this happened-could something have gone wrong during molting? Or did another crab get him? At least he seems to be getting around okay despite it but it's very disappointing to see that right after he molted

If it's important, he is my 1 Ecuadorian and there are 2 PP's in the tank (and 1 PP molting still). He's pretty small too

There's really no way to know for sure. He should be just fine though and it'll regrow during his next couple molts.
