4 months and still no sign...

...of life. I have a PP "Terrance" in a separate tank due to the bigger crabs removing all but three of his legs (both claws!). He molted twice in solitary, grew his claws back and seemed to be on the mend. Those molts were fairly short and close together, though I did not keep a journal or anything.
Anyway, it's been about four months now and I've not seen any signs of activity, no food eaten, no tracks. But no smell either! I don't want to dump the tank if he's still alive. When do I decide he's moved to crabbie heaven??

If it were me, I would prepare myself to find an empty shell and slowly dig.

I have a hermit crab named Spike and he did the same thing when he was small. He came back up fine but I honestly thought he was dead. If it were me, I would leave him. If he doesn't come back up soon I would do what KellyCrabbieLove said.

When they're healing they may only stay up a few nights in a row before molting again. Are you absolutely sure there has been no eaten food in the last 4 months?

He was my most social crab, came out all hours, never shy around humans. He loved hanging from the top of the tank, too. Haven't seen or heard him for a very long time. So, yeah I'm pretty sure...
