I heard one make some light croaking noises. I have two buried at the bottom in front of the tank. Their windows are covered so they have complete darkness. is this something to be concerned about. I really hate to remove the dark towel I have wrapped around the bottom of the tank for no reason. Thanks to anyone for their advice.

It's okay to peak in quick to ease your mind.

They do talk to each other when buried. If it's not constant I wouldn't be worried.

No its not constant. First time I heard anything from them since they went down right before Christmas. Thanks!

I noticed the same thing this week. I have 2 crabs down right now and nowhere near each other. i heard the chirping and figured it was a scuffle of sorts but when I checked the 2 were still down near the glass and undisturbed by the others. they were both chirping by themselves. These little critters always surprise me
