Surface Molt question

Hi, I am new to hermit crabs and got 4 small crabs 4 days ago. That same night one buried and I have let him be but yesterday one molted on the surface and I thought he was dead. Long story short I realized he was not dead when I went to return him to the pet store  but the guy at the pet store threw out the exo and I didn't realize it until I got home.

I have him isolated in a KK with food, water and some calcium powder and the keeper is in the main tank. Is there anything else I should be giving him since he didn't get the exo? He's been moving around a little but not super active. Once he is back to normal activity how long before I can put him with the others?

They are in a 20 gallon tank with 4" of playsand. Humidity is between 80-90% and temp is 78 on the cool side and 88 at the warmest spot.

Thanks!

Eggshells and raw honey are great healing foods.

A note on the substrate, you should really try to increase to at least 6 inches for a small crab. Too shallow of a substrate can lead to crabs being dug up or attacked while molting. Here's a good article on the substrate requirements for the differnt size crabs. viewtopic.php?f=26&t=92542
