First successful molt!

Post by Beckanai » Fri Nov 20, 2020 9:22 am

Every morning before I turn on the lights, I take a peek into our crabitat to see if anyone has come up. Frank has been in and out of his little hole, but I had to double take, either Hank or Eugene was awake and came up from his first molt! I was so excited but I didnt want to scare him so I didn't take a picture. The two of them are still wearing the shell they started out in, they don't seem to like any that I've offered them.
I'm still nervous about the others though, they've been down since the beginning of October. Hopefully they're just taking extra time. I'm still gonna worry until they all come up.
New to crabbing an lovin'it!

That’s great news! Just think, if conditions were good for him to have a successful molt, have faith that the others are good too!
