Charolette is back!!! Successful molt!!! (and a question)

One of my PPs, Charolette, just came up from the sand after being down for just barely over 2 months. I am so happy that she made it! :D She has turned this gorgeous pink salmon color (the color of the hermit crab emoji actually)!
Now I just have to wait for my other PP, Bingo to finish up molting. :crabblush:

Since I have heard that crabs do eat other crabs that are molting, I am worried that Charlotte might search for Bingo and try to eat him. Though Bingo is a size bigger than Charolette is. And I didn't separate them into different tanks because I didn't want to bother them during molting. So, what should I do? Should I separate charlotte into another tank (which I only have a 5-gallon carrying thing which I used to carry them home)? Or should I let them be and trust that Charolette won't eat Bingo because she is smaller than him?

You were correct not to move them to a different tank - there is no need. As long as your tank is not over crowded and you have enough substrate, crabs don't usually come across each other while molting or digging. If you are feeding enough healthy foods, they won't go looking for a molting crab either.
In the 10+ years I have had my crabs, Sonny dug up Cher once - and it was because I hadn't made the sub deep enough to keep up with their growth. I added sub, and it has not happened since (altho I do need to add more again soon).

Oh, what a relief! I do feed them healthy foods and I have the substrate actually a bit too deep too, so I should be good. And I have 2 medium-large hermies in a 20 gallon so that shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks for replying and putting my mind at ease. :)
