My crab Keystone that was disturbed during his molt seems to be considerably skinnier than before. Is it even possible for a freshly molted crab to shrink?

Actually, yes. They have to "shrink" in a way to get out of their exo. Once he hardens up, you'll see that he's probably a bit bigger.



Good luck! Keep him secluded! Put a soda bottle over him (with the bottom cut out) or some cd cases until he's hardened up. Right now he's vulnerable to attacks!

No he molted about 2.5 weeks ago and is already hard.
