Potential molter?

I'm a little concerned about my new E, and while his burying may very well be due to pps, I'm leaving for a short vacation in a couple of days and fear he may be on the verge of a molt.
The first thing he did after pulling a King Kong on the crabitat in his attempts to get out was to start eating. And he ate a lot. He came out of a wonderful setup at my local Petsmart, so he certainly hadn't been starving. I was a little worried about him being in too small of a shell, so brought him home quickly, introduced him to my other crabs, and got him settled. After he ate, he drank. After he drank, he started digging. Great big holes to hide himself in.
After he had been doing this for a little while, my smaller crabs began to mob him, digging him up and crawling all over him which is when I really started to worry. I quickly set up an iso tank and moved him over.
As I said, I leave in a few days for a short vacation, and while I have someone looking in on the crabs to make sure they have everything they need while I'm away, I'm worried about leaving Kong if he's molting. His colour is still vibrant, and I don't think his eyes are dull, but as this is my first molt, I'm really not all that sure. Should I leave him in his new set up while I'm away, or should I put him in back with the other crabs?
