OOPS
I can't believe I misID' Zatoichi! The real Zatoichi has turned up in a his new dolphin carved turbo. He is SO much bigger than this guy I can't believe I mistook him!!! And his BP has these white teeth on it and 2x Pele's BP...
My excuse?
I just haven't SEEN him for SO long... and Pele looks like him only smaller (and Zatoichi holds his legs different)
Image
Embarrassing, but at least Pele kept me from worrying about Zat!!!
:hlol: explains why the caption of the fake zat says 'he is looking smaller'
what a newbie!!!

Two of these guys were very exciting for me to find well. Zatoichi is a fave and Penobscot I wasn't sure would live. I had cut around him molting due to a stream addition and put him in the ISO before vacation. Last night he woke me up with his shell shopping and this morning I gave him a bath and put him in the big tank. He stubbornly refused to emerge for a photo until after he was behind watery glass
The last one is a mystery! He must have been in the ISO since before it was an ISO  Did I forget to name him??

Penobscot lost quite a bit of color, but he lives and maybe he can get it back next time:

Here's the mystery guy:

Thanks for looking,
Who else can celebrate with me but you guys? Even my 4yr old just stared blankly at me....

Penobscot is a beautiful color even now after he lost some
and about the mystery crab..I have an E still "molting" in my original tank and sometimes I forget hes in there lol hope he doesn't turn into my "mystery" crab

Beautiful PP's! I have a couple of mystery guys myself, but they have names, but I can't tell who they are. It just kind of happens once you get so many of one species.

Thanks :) I have decided that this crab is Walden, if the real Walden stands up...then he will be dubbed Enigma :)
AS for Zat.. You are the first person that has said they have seen let alone like those movies! I have a theory that George Lucas drew much of his inspiration for his Jedi's from Zatoichi. I think anyone might agree that the style of dress and fighting matches the Samurai but Zato specifically has the brown robe, the lightning sword (light saber), and the 'sensing' of his enemies that he cannot see. My family is sick to death of hearing about both this idea and the Zato movies in general so I had to jump at the chance to post this theory on the web :D

Thanks Tetracolor, it's for that reason that I am now resisting the temptation to buy another E- or another crab for that matter- and just focus on getting to know these quick change artists :D
Or should that be slow change....

tell me about it, even with me watching them change shells all day I've still gotta go look at old photo's to figure out who some of them are at times lol

and Zat that's funny that nobody has heard of or seen those movies, me and a few of my friends get together once in awhile and watch Zat movies lol and your theory has a very good basis there are too many similarities

see first original post for edit)
I'll post some better pictures of Zat later, from what I read on aging he must be 20 + years old! No wonder he has been adjusting slowly, poor guy.
But I hope it's better than dying in Petsmart :?
