HCA: Hermit Crab Association

One of my crabs just switched into a smaller shell last night. I looked in the crabitat and saw that he had dug under ground. Does this mean that he is molting?

that could be a sign... sometimes they like to switch to smaller shells before they molt because it is easier to dig down.
