Mass Molt?

I am still relatively new to the world of hermit crabs. I have not posted much on here since my crab Jareth died during a molt. I think I over-sprayed the sand and accidentally drowned him. :( Since then I have been feeling sad about hermit crabs' fragility...

I got a couple of new crabs to keep my remaining crab Jadis company. For a while they had a routine in which all three would go down during the day, and pop back up around 10 pm. I would frequently spot my biggest crab, Sesshomaru, eating the fresh food I put out.

Well, all three have been nowhere to be seen since about March. I suppose they could be coming up to eat around midnight when I'm sleeping, but I haven't noticed a dent in the dry food I leave out. Is it possible they could all three be molting right now? Sesshomaru is a large and Mr. Tadakichi and Jadis are mediums. If they went down in March, when should I expect to seem them again? I hate this worry I am experiencing, especially since my first molt ended so horribly.

My crabs always tend to molt together. One goes down and the pack follows. The tank gets kind of lonely then, but then they are all back up and busy again! Both my straws recently went down together. This is my first molt with them, so I'm a little anxious. My E's seem to molt faster, usually less than a month down. My pps take MUCH longer. From 2-4 months at a time, depending on size.

Well, these posts make feel a little better about it now. I didn't document the day they all went down because they all went down and up again so routinely, I could never be sure they were going to stay down. I am almost 100% sure that March was the month they went down permanently, at least. They are PPs so knowing that this species takes longer also gave me some reassurance. I hope they all make it up. I will be so excited to see them if they do!
