Purple Pinchers in Whale Eye shells

Who has PP's that have chosen Whale Eyes over turbos? I noticed my one crab above ground looking at a shell last night that wasn't a turbo so I added a bigger variety to the shell pile in my tank. Turbos, magpies, whale eye shells, a fiber conch, a fox shell, a bursa shell etc. No gold mouths. Although my molter is wearing a gold mouth, I'm hoping he'll change out of it once he comes up from his molt. A lot of people have said that they're not popular with crabs. I have checked the shell guide. I know some of the shells I listed like the fiber conch, fox shell, & bursa are preferred by E's and violas. PP's generally like round openings but that doesn't mean that they will not choose shells that are not turbos. The shells I listed are just not their first choice.

I have a PP in a whale/shark eye shell. She has been in it for awhile despite having like 20+ turbos to choose from. She changed it a few times but keeps going back to it.

Gold mouth turbos are just fine. No need to worry about weather or not he'll change it as long as he likes it it's ok. They are just not usually a first choice but neither are whale eyes lol. To each crabbie his own
