I think my purple pincher is getting due for a new shell. Currently shes in a 1 inch magpie shell but shes been in green turbos in the past. In her tank she has a couple bigger turbo shells, i think ones a tapestry shell and they seem a lot heavier and denser/thicker in the shell wall than her magpie shell and even the green turbos shes had in the past. However due to the shell opening they would be about what she should move into next.
Do you think these shells are fine or that i should find something lighter for her? And if so should i try something other than the magpie shells? What shells do your pp's prefer?

Re: Shell shopping
If she can't fit all the way into her shell then I would think about getting some new ones. My purple pinchers love their turbo shells and I would recommend those ones.
But if your crab can fit all the way in her shell then you should be fine for a while.

Yeah, mine have pretty much stuck to Turbos since they have been large. You could try offering some polished ones that are lighter.
