I'm miserable at measuring these shells. I keep buying the wrong sizes. ><

Most look to be at or just under 1 inch openings. The biggest one looks around 1 1/4 inch with the second biggest being around 1 1/8 inch.

I must really be mucking the measurements up. I grabbed a 1 1/2" and it was too small!

1 1/2 inch jade turbo or 1 1/2 inch D shaped opening? Can I see a pic of the too small shell next to the tape measure?

Small jade turbos are the next step up, but it's likely to be years before they choose to plunge into a bigger shell. Keep some available, but don't stress if they aren't interested. Make sure they have options the same size they have now.

I agree. I would pick up some 1 1/2 jade turbos and some more tapestry turbos from 1 to 1 1/4 inch openings. I did stumble across some tapestry that were 1 5/16 openings, so just slightly larger than 1 1/4. Tapestry turbos seem to max out around there and the smallest Jade turbos I find are around 1 1/2 inch opening.

I'm still curious about the 1 1/2 inch shell you picked up that you say is too small.
