Tip for Florida owners
So I was wanting to find shells in a store and not pay and arm and leg or get any painted. I wanted to see the shell sizes before I bought them cause I know about the size of the hermit crabs I will be getting and I wanted to have shells available for them right away. I came close to buying some turbos online but I was worried about the size. I recently bought come clothes from Bealls and got 5 dollar to spend in their store. I didn't really need anything for myself so I though that they might have shells and went in and looked and I am happy with what I found. each of the jars was 8.99 and I was only going to get one but I could not decide, one jar had more variations of sizes and the other I like the opening on better so I got both. The total was 13 something which is what I was going to pay online without being able to see them. Just thought I would share this. Please note I did not see any shells acceptable for larger crabs most of the shells are for small to medium and some I will just use for decoration.

Heart owned by Gracie (9 Year old yorkiepoo), Charlie (16 year old American Shorthair) and soon to be three PP's.

Gorgeous shells, and a pretty good price! I will warn, that while crabs will wear those, purple pinchers much prefer shells with round openings like turbos and magpies. E's, however would love those!

Mine PP's switched into the Babylonians pretty quick. I did pick up one turbo as I had one come up from a molt and stay in his shell, I was pretty sure he needed to change and did so as soon as I gave him the turbo. It's so cool that they have preferred shell types.
